She is inside a snow globe priced at £6.99 in a gift shop beside a car boot sale near Colchester. The globe contains a tiny cottage, a plastic pine and her, at roughly four inches tall. Staff first saw her at 9.15, doing a mermaid entrance through the snow.
Her statement was relayed by Dennis, a man selling toasters from the next pitch, who read her lips through the glass. 'Tell them I'm fine, and I introduced myself as Fat Amy before anyone could do it for me.' She also asked that the snow stop being so dramatic.
She will perform a riff-off against the globe's snow on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of October. A matinee is pencilled in for Bank Holiday Monday, weather permitting, with the weather being her. Anyone wishing to buy the globe should ask at the till, and be prepared to keep her.
Do not shake the globe. If you must, apologise to the cottage first.
