Zach Braff
Actor teaches sheep to narrate their own daydreams, with limited uptake
- Location
- Paddock behind a wholesale warehouse off Pandan Road, Singapore, between two pallets of tinned lychees
- Currently
- Voiceover coach to a flock, term two
- Last confirmed sighting
- Stood on a hay bale, delivering an inner monologue to forty ewes
- Observations
- Once daydreamed so hard that a Tuesday lasted nine minutes longer in Dorset.
The actor has spent eleven days in a fenced paddock behind a cash-and-carry, coaching a flock of sheep in the art of the inner monologue. He opens each session by staring wistfully at a bucket and saying, quietly, what he is thinking. The sheep, who are thinking about grass, have so far declined to elaborate.
Staff on the loading bay have logged three things: one ewe that cut to a fantasy sequence and then simply stood in a puddle, a lamb that hummed an acoustic guitar part from a Shins song, and a clipboard of voiceover notes chewed to the margins.
A spring season is planned, beginning with an open rehearsal on the first Saturday of March at 7 a.m. A second leg, titled Baa Hard, runs for six Sundays through April, with a guest dream sequence on the final weekend. Spare wool is available at the gate.
Do not tell the sheep what you are really thinking; they will not reciprocate.
