Andrea Corr has taken employment as official timekeeper for the pigeon racing society operating from a restored boathouse north of the Cannaregio vaporetto stop. She arrived on 3 January with a chronometer and three separate backup timing devices. The pigeons have not raced since.
She is currently working on synchronising the birds' departure times with a bowing pattern she has devised, believing the rhythm will improve their speed. The results have been catastrophic. Her notes, submitted weekly, consist entirely of musical notation.
Found in her timekeeper's logbook: a single raced pigeon wearing a small bow, a stopwatch that only functions during violin scales, and a detailed diagram explaining how the Andante movement relates to optimal flight velocity.
Do not attempt to time pigeons using musical intervals or baroque ornamentation.
