Nick Knowles
DIY presenter now exists only in foil variants and error printings
- Location
- a card-trading community beside a converted barn near Sarlat, used weekends only
- Currently
- Distributed across trading posts in incomplete sets, awaiting assembly
- Last confirmed sighting
- Tuesday evening, clutching holographic variant, refusing to be laminated
- Observations
- Can only be completed by collecting himself twice, mathematically impossible since 1987.
Nicholas Knowles has been issued as a set of collectable cards numbered one through twelve, though no collector has assembled all twelve. Observers first noticed the irregularity in May when a trader near Domme reported owning variants numbered 2, 5, 8, 11 and two copies of 6. Mr Knowles remains cooperative with the distribution process.
Through a card shop owner in Les Eyzies, Mr Knowles sent word that he was managing this arrangement well and had 'fixed worse'. He reportedly expressed interest in being traded fairly and noted that his holographic foil variant had resisted all attempts at restoration by previous handlers.
Inspection teams have documented three items associated with his distribution: a bent number 3 found wedged between display cases, a pristine sealed number 7 in the back room of a tabletop games venue, and a damaged number 4 currently held by a collector who believes it completes their set but refuses to confirm ownership.
Collectors should verify card numbers before assuming completion of their sets.
