Josh O'Connor
Correction: the tennis skills reported in lane four are, in fact, in lane five, and still rallying
- Location
- Lane five of a bowling alley beside the Hochzeiger ski-lift queue, Austria
- Currently
- Retrieving his serve from a bowling alley, lane by lane
- Last confirmed sighting
- Lunchtime Tuesday, rallying a bowling ball over the gutter
- Observations
- Can hold a brooding stare for eleven kilometres without blinking, including through tunnels.
Josh O'Connor is fine, and wishes it known that his backhand has seeped into the lane markings of a bowling alley beside the ski-lift queue. Staff say the arrows now point crosscourt. He is attempting to coax it back with a racket and a flask of tea.
The local council has received 14 complaints that the foul line now calls 'let' at random, and one compliment from a man whose gutter ball returned with topspin. A second compliment praised the brooding atmosphere around lane five. The council notes that nobody asked for the atmosphere.
Inspectors found a tennis ball embedded in the pin deck, heard a faint squeak of trainers on the ball return, and observed the scoring screen shrug moodily after every strike.
Do not bowl in lane five; if the ball returns, return the serve.
