Observations
Can diagnose a lay-by's potential through its soil composition alone, despite having no geological training.

Davina McCall has recently ceased traditional studio work and relocated to the UK road system. She is currently executing a comprehensive aesthetic and functional overhaul of Wales's lay-bys, proceeding alphabetically by postcode and working outward from Glamorgan. The project runs to completion of the A-roads network, estimated 2027.

Monday, 06:47, she began at lay-by 19 near Pontypridd with preliminary surveys. Tuesday 14:30 saw the first full transformation: new seating, drainage improvement and colour-matched signage. By Wednesday 09:00 she was measuring sight lines and public sightlines; by Thursday morning she had moved operations to the next site with all materials loaded into three hired vehicles.

She is currently midway through lay-by 47's complete reconstruction, focusing on pedestrian flow and practical appeal to HGV drivers. The work is on schedule and under budget. Local feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with two separate delivery drivers requesting she return to their favourite stops when the circuit concludes.
