David Beckham is currently stationed on a ranch near Lubbock, Texas, where he has spent the past six weeks attempting to teach a flock of sheep tactical movement and spatial awareness. The flock, acquired from a local breeder, shows variable aptitude for his methods. Local authorities were alerted when he was observed drilling the animals in formation drills before dawn.

The Lubbock Parks Department has received eight formal complaints about disruption to grazing schedules and one commendation from a agricultural consultant who noted that three of the sheep now hold a defensible midfield shape. Council officers describe his approach as methodical but labour-intensive. One complaint specifically mentions the volume at which he calls for "two-touch combinations" to bleating animals.
