Bryan Cranston has established himself in the submerged sectors near Albuquerque, where he has been conducting experimental dialogue work at depths between twelve and twenty-three feet. The operation began three weeks ago as a test of his range; he now remains there permanently, rotating between two oxygen tanks and a series of waterproof character notes.
Several retrieval attempts have failed due to his insistence on finishing each scene. Trained divers attempted to extract him on the second day, but he refused to break character mid-monologue, and they dared not interrupt what appeared to be a crucial emotional beat. A submersible was lowered with a written contract, but Cranston simply rejected it, bubbles rising as he shook his head.
"I've worked the equipment rentals here for nine years," says Derek, the site supervisor. "Never seen anyone refuse to come up. He keeps saying the water's changing his interpretation, making it more authentic. The carp seem confused, and frankly, so am I. But he's getting paid, the insurance is sorted, so I just check on him at shift change."
Members of the public should not attempt to communicate with him underwater, or applaud between scenes.
