Bruce Lee
Swan operations suspended along River Medway, velocity warnings remain
- Location
- River Medway near Maidstone, between the old film studios and Tonbridge
- Currently
- N/A
- Last confirmed sighting
- Tuesday, 3:14pm, striking a mute swan with uncanny precision
- Observations
- Once held British record for kicking through seven brick walls simultaneously; now holds swans to same rigorous standard.
Bruce Lee has taken employment as a swan upper for the Thames and Medway district, a position he assumed on Monday last. The cygnets appear distressed. Management notes that his approach to wing positioning and joint-manipulation techniques, while effective, exceeds standard welfare protocols by considerable margins.
He is currently working through the Maidstone stretch, where he has marked seventeen swans for examination and adjusted the flight geometry of nine. His efficiency is noted. However, the birds are now actively avoiding the river on sight of his shadow, which is hampering the actual count.
Monday 8am: Lee arrived at post with nunchaku, informed his supervisor these would 'enhance the process.' Monday 2pm: First swan evaded capture; Lee pursued it at full speed across Brenchley Gardens. Wednesday 11:30am: Wildlife committee received four separate complaints about acceleration. Thursday: No swans sighted. He has begun leaving notes on the towpath.
Do not approach working swans. Report unusual velocity to local wildlife office.
