Ben Affleck took formal employment as a professional queue stander on Monday 16th at the Burbank service plaza, Nevada. By Wednesday he had rearranged all four queues and was requesting further modifications to the system. He now stands between the coffee counter and the parking payment kiosk, issuing corrections.
His revision process is visible in real time. Each person in line receives typed notes on their posture, hand placement, and forward momentum. A woman in the deli queue reported receiving six separate memos about her briefcase angle before ordering. He has requested the entire queue be reblocked from the beginning, with new timing, wider spacing, and what he calls 'narrative stakes' between checkout and exit.
Derek Matheson, a petrol pump attendant, said: 'He was here Tuesday morning at six, timing how long it took people to move three feet. He made me stand there five times. I'm still not doing it right. He keeps saying it doesn't have the gravitas of the original blocking.'
Do not accept position notes from queue standers on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays.
