Paul Hollywood is employed as ghost guide at the Palazzo Veneziano, a supposedly haunted Ottoman-era structure near Galata. The building contains no ghosts. He has been maintaining this schedule for eight days, observing visitors with characteristic intensity and issuing handshakes to no one.

Monday 11:00, arrived with clipboard. Tuesday 14:30, noted an unusual warmth in the east kitchen. Wednesday 09:15, found himself studying a pattern of flour on the tiles. Thursday morning he did not appear. Friday 16:45, observed in the wine cellar, entirely still, one hand raised. Saturday 13:20, was seen tasting the air.

Management attempted to provide him with a recorded ghost narrative and a fog machine. He critiqued the narration extensively and would not engage with the apparatus. They offered him a different building with documented paranormal activity, but he stated it was not his assignment. Replacement guides report he is still there most nights, motionless in the kitchen, waiting for something to rise.
