Jeremy Clarkson has been mistaken for a roundabout outside a petrol station near Limoges and is being driven around, clockwise, by a succession of delivery vans. He has tried to explain he is a presenter, but his gesturing has been read as a sign for the second exit. A man named Alain has taken to indicating politely.
A spring tour of the circumference begins on Thursday, with nine laps scheduled before lunch and a special evening lap in the dark. Further dates include the Tuesday market rush and a full season of the A-road junction beyond the bakery, subject to tyres. He has asked for a lap to be called 'How hard can it be?' and has been refused.
Local drivers now approach the petrol station slowly and shout 'Some say...' out of their windows at the central island. The bakery has moved its pastries to the exit lane, and the nearby cows have begun to give way. A small plaque reading 'Bit more power' has appeared, and nobody will admit to putting it there.
Give way to anything on the right, including the presenter.
