Ed Sheeran has been resident at Bekonscot Model Village since late November, occupying a bespoke recording studio built to 1:12 scale in the miniature Cotswold township. He continues to write, record and perform at full capacity from within the model landscape, his guitar appropriately downsized and his material reaching standard broadcast quality through methods currently under review.
A visitor from Watford, Margaret Poole, 64, a retirement coach, observed him performing in the village square at approximately 3 p.m. on Saturday: 'I thought it was a wind-up toy at first, but then I heard the harmonies. Very precise. He played for forty minutes and people gathered on the little benches. When he took a break he drank from a thimble.'
Found in and around the studio cabin: a Gibson acoustic guitar measuring 16 centimetres, a mixing desk with functional faders scaled to thumbnail size, and seventeen completed songs recorded on standard-format MP3 files despite originating from equipment scaled to miniature specifications.
Do not approach the model village recording studio without an appointment. Volume remains hazardous at standard distance.
