Can hear a lift button being pressed from three postcodes away and sings back.

Selena Gomez's singing voice has leaked into the floor announcements of a goods lift at a wholesale warehouse in Jurong. The lift now delivers each floor as a soft, breathy pop ballad. Staff say the forklift drivers have stopped pressing the buttons and simply wait.

On Monday at 9:05 a.m. the lift sang 'Ground floor' in a low harmony. By Tuesday at noon it had added a chorus for the pallet jacks. On Thursday at 3:12 p.m. it attempted 'Lose You to Love Me' between floors four and five, and the doors stayed shut for eleven minutes.

Gomez will attend the lift every weekday from 8:00 a.m. with a wand, a notebook and a small podcast microphone. Retrieval is scheduled for the 14th, with a second attempt on the 21st. A spokesperson says the lift may keep the lyrics to 'Come & Get It'.

Guidance for the public

Do not press the button for floor four unless you are prepared to sing along.
