The Prince has taken a post as caretaker of a village hall near Windsor, where he opens up at 7am and locks up at 10pm. Mornings are spent with a mop. Hall users say he is always the spare person available when a chair goes missing.
The parish council has logged 14 complaints and 9 compliments. Complaints concern the hall's helicopter landing marks on the cricket pitch and a polo mallet left in the raffle. Compliments praise the tidy stacking of chairs and his handling of the Tuesday yoga class.
Monday 7am: opens hall, finds a polo pony in the kitchen. Tuesday 2pm: Invictus-style sack race breaks out during the toddler group. Thursday 6pm: takes a charity quiz question on the memoir from Wi-Fi. Saturday 11am: wedding hire, rotor noise from the car park.
Please return stacking chairs to the hall by 10pm and do not ask about helicopters.
