Gareth Southgate is now a font, available in regular, italic and Waistcoat Bold. He was installed overnight on a church office computer in Surrey and has since spread to eleven parish newsletters and one underpass in Rotterdam.
The council has received 212 compliments, mostly about the tidy lowercase g and the calm spacing between words. Four complaints concern the full stops, which some residents say are taken too slowly and with visible regret. One asked whether the penalty notice for the bins could be set in something else.
The flower rota, lost property and the harvest supper have never looked so dependable. Nobody now raises their voice at the cake stall, and the vicar reports that even the word 'Cancelled' reads as a gentle disappointment. The Rotterdam underpass has been described as extremely well organised.
Do not stretch, condense or set in comic style; he prefers sensible margins.
