Harry Styles
Item 7: Members noted that a Styles is now 'about as far as the bus shelter' and asked for it in writing
- Location
- Outside Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, along the lane between two lampposts
- Currently
- Measuring hedges in Cheshire, one cardigan at a time
- Last confirmed sighting
- Laid end to end across a Cheshire lane, humming Adore You
- Observations
- Can be folded into a flared trouser leg without losing a single sequin or a note.
Cheshire County Council has confirmed that one Harry Styles now equals 1.78 metres, or roughly one lamppost and a bit. Farmers near Holmes Chapel use it for fencing and for the distance to the pub. Nobody else has adopted the unit, which suits Cheshire fine.
His pearl necklace is used as a spirit level and his flared trousers as a wind gauge. Hedgers measure in cardigan-widths, and a gate is deemed properly hung when it swings 'as it was'. Anything sweeter than a watermelon is rounded down to one sugar.
Through the lollipop lady at the village school crossing, he has said he is 'happy to be a lane, but would like it kept kind'. She added that he treats people with kindness at all times, including during measuring. The council has recorded his thanks.
Please measure fences in metres where possible and apologise to the lane afterwards.
