Anthony Joshua
Heavy congestion on the canal towpath as all 500 copies report in at once, delays expected until Friday
- Location
- Canal towpath, Amsterdam, between the third bike rack and a very patient heron
- Currently
- Signing himself 500 times, each with a different jab
- Last confirmed sighting
- Signing copy number 312 on a bench by the lock, Thursday
- Observations
- Can throw a jab that arrives on the previous Tuesday, which is why it is always early.
Anthony Joshua is now available as a limited run of 500, each copy signed by a different one. Copies are numbered, wrapped in hand wraps and stacked along a canal towpath in Amsterdam, where a cyclist named Ingrid counted them twice and got 501 once.
Monday, 9.10am: copies 1 to 40 appear beside the lock and begin shadow boxing. Tuesday, 2pm: copy 118 signs a bicycle bell. Thursday, 6am: copies 200 to 350 skip rope in unison, shaking the bridge. Saturday, 4.45pm: copy 500 arrives late and apologises politely.
Houseboat residents now sleep to the steady rhythm of 500 jabs landing on pads and the occasional skipping rope. The towpath café has begun selling signed napkins, and the heron has moved to the next canal. Cyclists are asked to ring their bells once, as every copy turns round to check.
Do not ask for a signature; ask which number he is, and wait.
